Dr. Mark Davis in his online scripture blog, “Left Behind and Loving it,” [1] suggests, for grammatical reasons, that instead of hearing the devil say, “If you are the Son of God, [then] command these stones . . . throw yourself down [from the building]; . . . fall down and worship me,” [2] we should only use the word “if” in the first two tests.
