Solemn Evensong & Benediction

First Sunday of the month, October through May, at 4:00 PM

In Episcopal cathedrals and parishes, morning and evening psalms and scripture are prayed in a regular pattern known as “The Daily Office.” When Evening Prayer is sung, it is called “Evensong.” Because Sundays are always celebrations of the resurrection, we offer a form of the service known as “Solemn Evensong.” The liturgy concludes with Eucharistic Benediction, a short rite of prayer and blessing, where we focus on the Lord’s continuing presence among us in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. Evensong & Benediction will normally be offered on the first Sunday of the month at 4:00 PM, from October through May. The above video offers an example of the service and was recorded on November 5, 2023. We hope that you will join us on a Sunday evening!
